Children in Care – Total Respect Training

CiCC standing bannerWe run this training as we are keen to share our experiences with professionals/foster carers who work with young people in care, and the training is aimed to let you see things from a young person’s perspectives, and look at rights and the voice of the young person in the care process.

Thoughts from young people:

Jess- it was very helpful, as we got to see the foster carer’s perspectives. Structure of the day, liked it, and knew what we were doing.

Beau- you are never right or wrong as long as you can justify it. I took a lead role, supporting others and we worked as a team well, adapting scenarios. Be clearer in describing jargon busting exercise.

Mel- got to share our point of view, learning about how all the foster carers have a wide variety of experience.

Chloe- it was interesting, from a foster carer perspectives. Everyone was enthusiastic and wanted to participate. Speak more personally.
