My name is Romel and I am an young asylum seeker. I arrived in the UK 2 years ago. The reason I left my country was because of the Afghanistan war.
Everyone knows the situation. Everyday bombs are still taking innocent people. The Taliban continue to bomb and now ISIS is also a problem. Everyday more than a 100 young children are losing their fathers.
To survive I had to leave my country. I don’t have any idea where my mother, sister and brother and maternal uncle are. I don’t know if they are alive.
I had to leave my country and this was my journey…
My journey took 2 years but here are just a few examples of some of the things I had to go through. I saw many difficult and tough things but here I just mention a few basic parts of the journey.
I want you to know that I left my country because of the war and I want you understand what I had to go through to get here today.
If there was no war my country would be like Heaven because we had everything there. Diamonds, Gold, Oil and even the weather is good. People are leaving to survive. If there was no war I would go back to Afghanistan to be with my family again.
Part of my recovery from such a terrible time involved writing my story down and now I am sharing it with you.
My story is 10 chapter long and Chapter 1…is coming next week…
